We are happy to introduce an internet community where we can share
our thoughts and experiences regarding destructive groups. We have
set up a discussion group mailing list calledFreedomofMind
(click here for list). There you can either sign up and
participate in the discussions, or just browse through the archives.
This is a good opportunity to obtain support in your healing process,
acquire knowledge about the many destructive groups out there, and
to network and help one another in our fight against totalitarian
regimes.
Please review the following disclaimer and policies carefully.
If you agree to abide by these, please respond to the email you
will receive when you join the list with "I ACCEPT" in
the subject box. We will then add you to the discussion group. It's
that easy!
Standard disclaimer
The moderators do not necessarily
endorse the contents of discussions, nor do they assume responsibility
for any threatening, libelous, or offensive material contained in
the discussion. The moderators will utilize due diligence to monitor
the site for content of this type, and will take necessary action
to suspend the offender from the discussion group per the policies
of participation in these discussions. Any infringement of third
party intellectual property rights are also against the policies
of this discussion group. The offender will be suspended from the
discussion if proper permission was not granted in advance to post
copyrighted or other intellectual material from another source;
however, the moderators assume no responsibility for copyright infringement
which occurs without their knowledge.
The information contained in discussions are for educational use
only. Participants in the discussions should not expect the moderators
to perform counseling services of any kind. Should a referral for
counseling services be needed or desired, the person requesting
it should make a specific request to one or both of the moderators
in a private email, and we will attempt to assist you if we can.
Even though this will be a moderated forum, some of the material
may be controversial or offensive. Any participant, editor, author,
or other interested party who objects to their name being used in
the context of discussion should contact the moderators immediately
for consideration and review
General policies
Subscription and participation in the
discussion groups are open to anyone. However, all initial subscriptions
are subject to moderator approval. All subscribers must agree to
abide by the policies presented by the moderators.
How are the discussions and postings moderated? The moderators
will regularly monitor postings and discussions. A subscriber who
fails to abide by the rules of the discussion group may be suspended
for a short time. If repeated infractions occur, the moderators
may suspend the subscriber for a longer period of time. Appeal to
the moderators is encouraged if desired, and the moderators will
review each appeal individually and on its own merits.
Posting policies & rules
Please do not post hoaxes
or virus warnings. Posts lacking in basic courtesy and respect for
the opinions of others are discouraged. The moderators will not
attempt to be censors or anti-free speech advocates, and will enforce
the courtesy rule sparingly.
Please do not use vulgar or obscene language in your posts. Posts
should refrain from using ad hominem attacks; however, legitimate
questions as to a participant's credibility are fair game.
Posts which contain threats toward yourself or others will be handled
seriously. If we suspect a covert threat is being made, we will
give the subscriber the benefit of the doubt, and will always ask
for clarification. If overt threats are made, we reserve the right
to report those threats to the proper authorities.
Please do not post lengthy discourses where it is obvious that
you are prosetilizing one religion and/or one belief system over
the other.
Using emails on this discussion group list for the purposes of
monitoring individuals and/or sending spam are against our policies.
Before initiating private, off-the-discussion-group email, please
ask permission first on the open discussion.
Please consider the fact that the discussion may turn heated and
lively at times. Please respect the feelings and opinions of others.
Freedomofmind.com fully supports religious
freedom and the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The fact that a person’s name or group appears on our website
does not necessarily mean they are a destructive mind control cult.
They appear because we have received inquiries and have established
a file on the group.
