A leader of a healing group who is accused of sexually abusing young girls has been refused leave to attend a major celebration for the cult in Sydney.
Accused Kenneth Dyers will stand trial in January.
The 84-year-old requested a change in bail conditions so he could attend the 25th anniversary of his self-styled healing group Kenja Communications at its Surry Hills headquarters.
The judge refused the application, saying changes to bail would not be granted so close to trial.
Dyers faces 22 charges of indecent assault to two 12-year-old girls who were members of the healing group.
The trial is set for next month.
